Dave Grohl and Foo Fighters called out for apparent 'lack of danger'

Former Guns & Roses drummer Matt Sorum has called out Dave and the guys at Foo Fighters, saying that their shows are all predictable, and they have a lack of danger.

In an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, he targeted the Foo Fighters, saying

“If you go to a Foo Fighters show, you’re gonna see a band play their set, and everything is gonna go down nice, and he’ll thank the crowd, and everyone’s gonna go home and go ‘Wow, that was a really nice rock ‘n’ roll show’. Not everything went perfect in any of the bands I’ve been in, but I know one thing: people on their way home were going ‘Holy shit, what was that?'”

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl might not be just that happy after hearing Matt's interview.

He didn't just have a go at Dave and the Foo Fighters, he added that

“A lot of the bands that are coming out now, you don’t really hear those kinds of powerful voices… You know, I see bands with lead singers who are really nice. Squeaky clean. And I really don’t feel I’m getting that wild, rock ‘n’ roll sensibility that I want.”.

He didn't seem to be very critical of the band he currently plays in, Kings of Chaos. There was comparison to people from Guns & Roses too,

“They’re both powerhouses” he said, before adding that “I think it’s a bit of a lost art form.”.

Who knows how Dave and the boys will take it? Let us know what you think about this, and if you agree with Matt's harsh yet potentially honest interview in the comments?
